u'd prolly buy a concession weekly return from hornsby to epping for trains
buy a blue concession travel ten for bus - 1 dip to go 1 way

weeklies dont work on buses....not that i know of...

You could buy a daytripper... but seeing that they cut concessions on them, it would cost you $15 each day. Its probably easier to buy them individually as you get on the train/bus. Or get a weekly for the train and then pay seperatly for the bus.. buses arent that expensive.

Or, get a car and your p's and you're set! :) Or, make friends with people who live near you with a car and sponge a lift off them everyday!:D

yep, you buy a pink concession weekly. It lets you have unlimited travel for the week on buses, trains and ferries within a restricted area. so even if your catching public transport elsewhere, you can stil use your pass.

argh.
I live so close to the uni, but it's impossible to get to.

I can catch the 565 bus there, a shorelink one, but I can't find how to get back! I walked to macquarie centre, but all the buses were the government ones...

You live in Lindfield, right? Why dont you catch the train (or bum a lift off your parents) to Gordon and then bus it to uni? Its pretty simple to get back to Gordon. I think buses run from inside the uni and MQ centre.

Doesn't the bus to Gordon arrive every 90 mins or something ridiculous like that.

For the original poster: it'd probably be cheapest getting return student ticket daily and a blue student travel ten. I used to do that when I lived in West Ryde.

train: $4.40 x 4 = $17.60
bus: 80c x 2 x 4 = $6.40

total = $24

i dont think so hun, and thats pretty 'restricted' with the travel pass i can go whenever wheerever

how many weeks of uni are there? 24? 24 x $23.50 = $564 (muuuuuuuuuuuuch better)

Why is the train $4.40? That's city to epping price...

Plus it's 63c x 2 x4 min (NOT 80c). And you'll get lifts a lot to the station (if the poster has/makes friends), thus negating the usefulness of the weekly travel pass.
