I used L'hospital' rule (lopey tall's rule)

I had no idea how to do it otherwise, but i got 2/pi which i think was the correct answer

do i still get the markseven tho the method isnt in the syllabus?

It's 1 mark, I think just stating the limit was enough.

You will get the mark. Being a 1 mark question, I would expect that 1 mark be given for the correct answer, which was as you said, 2/pi.

sin(x)/x ->1 as x-> 0

Therefore sin(pi/2 * x) / pi/2 x -> 1, sin(pi/2 * x) -> pi/2 * x

x/pi/2 * x = 2/pi

Did the same, but I wrote "by L'Hospital's rule...".

Therefore sin(pi/2 * x) / pi/2 x -> 1, sin(pi/2 * x) -> pi/2 * x

x/pi/2 * x = 2/pi

If it's outside you have to prove it, but proving L'Hosptial isn't that hard.

Ease up. I could have done it the other way but L'Hospital's is what came to me first. Also our Head Teacher of Maths showed us it, so doesn't necessarily mean I read ahead

The rule that says as lim x--> 0, (sinx)/x = 1?
