QMB and QMA (1 Viewer)

Just wondering how much of what's learnt in QMA is required for QMB.

None, think of it as a new course.
But you still have to know the basics of mathematics which will help.

You might want to work harder for QMB, some people say it's harder, some say it's easier...

I failed QMA, got 43. Im trying to get my final exam reassessed and try make the pass conceeded mark of 46.

QMA and QMB are really different.

I found QMB easier. For me, the concepts in QMB were harder to grasp, however the questions in the final/midsession were more straightforward and less tricky than in QMA.

I found QMA ALOT easier than QMB. But then again i did the course without buying the required textbook for QMB =)

But yeh, there's not much that u learn in QMA that u need to noe in QMB from what i can remember...

In the course outline for QMA it states "it will be desirable to have a two variable statistical mode to perform linear regression calculations" for QMB. Did you guys have to get a new calculator? I can't seem to find the fx-911W which it recommends, is there some newer model?

Yes a two variable statistics calculator will save you a lot of time. I recomend Sharp.

Nope not ture, I've seen plenty of Casio that cannot do two variables.

Also I've been told that they are definitly major changes to QMA and QMB this session.
