for safety reasons I reckon you should know what quarks make up protons and neutrons.... they're not that hard anyways
up quark has a charge of +2/3 and a down quark has a charge of -1/3 therefore you just balance them in 3s to make a proton of charge +1(UUD) or a neutron of zero charge (UDD)
