Hey all.

Would anyone be able to outline the difference between 'form' and 'convention' in the context of a drama critical essay?

Cheers

Form refers to the shape and the structure of the play > for example; monologues, dialogues, soliloquies etc.

Conventions are procedures that are accepted by the audience > for example in a beautiful life when the trial in Iran is juxtapose to the trial in Australia on stage.

Another popular convention found in a lot of plays is breaking the fourth wall

Hope it helped :)
