hey guys i just need to clear sumthing up
ok here goes

just say u come 1st in ur subject at school an lets say the Assessment mark is 93, but say the school makes the assessment taks easy and the ppl who are in the class are not into the subject and perform terribly so does that mean when u sit for the exam an u get a mark say like 75 in HSC wat will happen

a. ur assessment mark will be 75 an ur exam mark 75
b. ur asssesmnet mark will be 93 an exam mark 93 coz u r granted sole immunity for coming first no matter wat the outcome will be
c.ur assesment mark will be combined with ur exam mark an u get the total out of that

hope this makes sense

You are given three marks for your HSC.
1. The moderated school assesment mark. This will be determined by your ranking. If you come first with 93 as an assesment mark, and the first place in the HSC test is 75, your moderated assesment mark becomes 75.
2. You are then given an exam mark, which will be the mark YOU scored in the HSC test (If you get the highest mark in the HSC test it will be the same as your moderated mark)
3. The overall HSC mark will be the average of 1 and 2. This HSC mark is used in calculating your UAI

So basically if your getting easy marks (like 93) and then go poorly and 75 is the highest, then your 93 will basically be moderated to 75, or whatever position you came.
