Hey ummm i need help... i just assumed it would be 4 years at 5%.... i.e 4.3101 x3600= 15516.26, and interest would be that minus 3600 = 11916.36...

but now im thinking maybe cuz it said at the end of each year, that it would only be for 3 years??? wat do u guys think???

ive made so many stupid mistakes!!! i swear i think too much... i needed to remind myself every 5 minutes 'its only general maths.... they arent gonna try trick people!!'

and ques d, how the hell do u do ii)??? to me that was the wrong formula they gave!!

Intrest is 3600x4 (he put 3600 in each year FOR FOUR YEARS)...so its 15516.36-14400 = 1116.36

Question D u use the Future Value of an annuity to get 28000 = M [83.29342...] (use the r and n u got in D(i))

Then just do an equation to find M (ie divide 28000 by 83.29342...) which gets you 336.16

haha yep i got that interest one right... just could read my scribble on the paper!!! i rewrote the formula right... so i get the 2 marks.... and the other one i think i stuffed was that 'make L the subject of the equation'

i didnt realise i could divide by 2.pi, so i ended up with

L= Sq root of T-2

pi

shiiiities. do u think they will give me one for working out???

Im so angry! Just reading these posts i realised i looked at the formula as future value not present value!!!!!
so even when i substituted in, I put it in as future value formula!! i am so annoyed ! i should have looked at it more!!

do you think I'll get marks anyway?

yeh u should. they try to give us marks, not take them away

i know how u feel though...most of my answers that were wrong were from not reading the question, only a few were wrong cuz i actually didnt know how 2 do it.

i was relying on 98 in this to try and fix the damage from not studying for english, and that damn legal exam

meh 2 this question...was this where u had 2 find r & n and the the next bit u had 2 substitute them in and solve? coz i got 336 on my graphics calculator but when i actually did the equation normally i got like 1000 or sumthing and i knew it was wrong coz im pretty good with the graphics calcy, but i spent so much time trying 2 figure out where i went wrong so i have a feeling i put both answers down! lol
