u know how there is heaps of stuff in jacaranda abt black body radiation b4 it mentions the stuff in the syllabus?
and also heaps of stuff on x ray and interference thingy

do we actually need to know that?

x ray and interference stuff - that is basically in the question about the Braggs and X-ray crystallography. i have never seen a q where you had to show the calculations (if we get one i am writing it off, because there are too many formulas to remember already); it has always been b/s history and "what advances have come from..."
the black body stuff im pretty sure we need to know... it leads into the theories of quantised light etc
