haha, I saw it was like 'is this seriously a question?' it was a bit of a given mark.

I said the probability of picking a card with the letter A on it out of four cards, 3 with A and one with B on it.

Here is mine:

Jack has 4 balloons, 3 are red and 1 is yellow. He lets go of one string. What is the probability that a red balloon floats off into the sky? 3/4

Picking a red lollie from a bag of 3 red and one blue lollies
I almost did EXACTLY the same. I wrote "Pick one red jellybean out of a jar of 4 jellybeans, in which 3 are red and one is black."

What I SHOULD have written was: "Probability of me failing this maths test: 3/4"

I wrote the odds of not picking a heart in a regular 52 deck of cards...

Thats easily the most generically maths answer so far

Exactly what I wrote.

"probability of NOT picking the correct number between 1 and 4" i seriously could not think of anything besides that

Probability of getting caught using my mobile phone in this exam, when there is 3 out of 4 supervisors watching me.
LOL!

That's assuming that each supervisor is equally likely to catch you.

I said picking a 25c coin out of a purse with three 25c coins and one \$1 coin.
It was a bit of a ridiculous question....what about the one before it? That trig one? I died.

although that might be right, the marker might not give you a mark for stupidity(25 cent coin, anyone?)

anyway, i write picking a red marble out of a bag of 3 red marbles and 1 white marble. I didnt right picking a "random" marble though...will that matter?
