I did the HSC in IT when i was in year 11


i got a 76 for my mark.

i was in the top 25% of the state

since ive only done 1 subject i dont know if that 76 scaled up or down

any 1 shed some light?

For the purposes of calculating your ATAR, almost all subjects scale down.

IT isn't a very well scaling subject so don't expect too much.

Darn , i was hoping for it to be 80, as only 1% got above 90 and i was in the top 25%

It's definitely not going to scale up to 80. I'm not sure how much it will scale down to but you could try putting that mark into some ATAR calculators as a rough guide.

A mark of 76 will probably count for around 55-65 (roughly) in the aggregate of 500 in ATAR calculation.
