Two questions

1) Which language scales better...French or Italian?
2) If you do 13units for yr 11 and you dont pass a 2unit course but your going to drop it when you are allowed to can you still go on to do your HSC or do you repeat yr 11 again?

Cause are teachers are telling us that if we fail any course in the prelim it doesnt matter if we decide to take it or not we'd have to repeat it again.

Any answers would be appreciated :D

ummm.......for the 1st question - no idea :p

the 2nd......well......I'm definitely sure you can go on to yr 12 cos they only accept the best 10 units in calculation for ur UAI anyway (however if you get the lowest mark in english, it will still be counted towards UAI cos its a compulsory subject and the second lowest mark from a different sub won't be counted)

which skool do you go to????????

1. don't ask me~
2. i think -- if i'm remembering correctly, all you need to do is complete the course; i see no reason for you to repeat yr 11 again! as kulazzi may have noted -- the best 10 units are taken..
remember usually 12 units that are needed to satisfy the requirements for prelim

^ i think to go on from year 11, you have to "satisfactorily complete 12 units" or something. as in you cant get "n" awards and stuff

1) You shouldn't choose the language on which one scales better - rather on which one you think you'll do better in and actually like. btw french scales better

i'm not sure about the first question but you can definitely go to yr 12 if you don't pass one of your courses because you need at least 10 units for you HSC. I'm also doin 13 units now and our teacher told us the same thing.

You need to satisfy the course requirements for 12 units in yr 11. You still have plenty of time so donr worry.
