The first 2 years are lower than a full time load due to full time work, and the subjects with * must be done. The fifth year has a lighter load for the same reason.

1. 18 UOC
2. May be school specific
3. School specific.
4. Most don't let overloading in year 1 session 1, different schools have different rules about overloading - some don't allow it at all and some are lenient. 30/36 UOC becomes difficult even for the best of students. But most require good (DN WAM would be good) marks.
5. I have never heard of a cap as serious amounts of overloading goes through the program directory anyway.

If you are trying to overload to fast track your degree, my advice is don't count on overloading at all.
