Hi guys, I have a couple of questions to ask regarding HSC marks:-

1. I was playing with some ATAR calculators and am just curious whether it is possible to get a odd number in extension 1 maths (2 units) if extension 2 is also done? for example is 97/100 possible for 2 units of ext1 maths?

2. How does it work for those people who accelerated 3u and received something like 47? does it just double to 94?

3. Is there such thing as rounding for the HSC mark? say the moderated internal school mark was 87 and the HSC aligned mark was 88, would this give a HSC mark of 88 or 87? because technically shouldn't it round up?

1. Yep it is. If you get 96.5+, they'll round up.

2. I'd assume they take the unrounded one, double it and then round it if necessary? Doesn't seem fair if they didn't do this.

3. Yep. Moderated internal of 87 & exam aligned of 88 gives a HSC mark of 88.
