Quick picking subjects/timetable Q's (1 Viewer)

Hey folks,
So im doing the commerce/engineering double and i need to pick my first year subjects, picked civil engineering and im having some trouble. So i enter these subjects into the timetable generator thingy

MATH1131 Mathematics 1A (6 UOC)
MATH1231 Mathematics 1B (6 UOC)
PHYS1121 Physics 1A (6 UOC)
ENGG1811 Computing for Engineers (6 UOC)
ENGG1000 Engineering Design (6 UOC)
CVEN1300 Engineering Mechanics (6 UOC)
GMAT1110 Surveying and GIS 1 (6 UOC)
MATS1101 Engineering Materials and Chem (6 UOC)

1. MATH1231 1B doesnt appear, from my understanding, its because i need to do MATH1131 1A first?

2. Is session 1 and session 2 just another word for semester 1 and 2?

3. I have a clash between GMAT1110 and MATS1101, what am i supposed to do? Am i totally doing this wrong, and do i need to just pick 24 uoc's (4 subjects) worth of subjects for session 1?

you only need to enrol in one session/semester at a time

yeah it is only offered in s2 and summer session, so don't worry about enrolling in it now. they don't work out the class details until some time towards the end of first session

yes. i reckon they should just called them semesters like everyone else, because often you're talking to someone, and when you mention "session" they just look blankly..

For Civil Engineering students:

Session 1

MATH1131 Mathematics 1A (6 UOC)
PHYS1121 Physics 1A (6 UOC)
ENGG1811 Computing for Engineers (6 UOC)
ENGG1000 Engineering Design (6 UOC)

Session 2

MATH1231 Mathematics 1B (6 UOC)
CVEN1300 Engineering Mechanics (6 UOC)
GMAT1110 Surveying and GIS 1 (6 UOC)
MATS1101 Engineering Materials and Chem (6 UOC)


Assuming you fail no subject from Session 1, they all fit into place.

yes, and then you go through the whole choosing classes and enrolling thing again towards the end of session 1
