Quick question about atar (1 Viewer)

hey guys just a few questions.

ok say hypothetically someone got this for there assessment internal marks:

60- Chemistry
75- Religion
75- English
80- Modern history
75- Biology

Now, if someone got these marks for internal assessment and then did well in the end of year HSC EXAMS (and i mean smashed the HSC exam) will there internal assessment get scaled to the 80's and some low 90's because they did well in HSC?

basically what im asking is if you fuck up assessment marks and get a reasonable ranking and your cohort does well in your subjects can you get a 90+ ATAR?

Depends on your rankings, raw internal marks are heavily moderated by BOS. Generally speaking, if you have bad rankings, but kill the externals along with the rest of your year, then yes you will get a good ATAR.

Generally speaking and in theory yes. However, I would avoid testing this theory.

22/62 for adv english
34/42 for chemistry
8/60 for biology
15/62 for 2 unit religion
4/16 for modern history

still possible for a 90 atar? my chemistry cohort and me aswell all do very well. im just ranked lower than them

I reakon your looking at 88-92. 90 is possible but chemistry and to a lesser extent english could drag you down.
