I dont really know, but you deserve to fail if you touch it.... there is always plenty of room, unless you have some huge 4WD I cant understand why you cant get around them, and even then, in the test you drive nice and slowly...

im pretty sure it isnt an instant fail.
coz in reverse parking, you can knick the kerb but only lose points but not fail...i think its the same for roundabouts..

Agreed with the above posters I can't see it being a real problem roundabouts are not that hard to go around, unless you have been having a problem with that? If you did hit or touch the centre you would think it wouldn't be by much or hard.

I assume this is just the nerves getting to you as it has to many of us before we took are P's test to remember what you have been taught and learn't and good luck!

Good luck :) I had mine at 10:15 too.

If it helps, try to take them a little bit wider if it'll help you stay away from touching the round about. In my daily driving, sometimes I hit the round about (ie. little bit of a bump on the surburban flat ones) because I'm too lazy to turn my wheel a lot (or slow down sufficiently).

do YOU have your P's? you get an auto fail if you hit a kerb, and lose points if you reverse park too far away from the kerb.

heh, talking about stress on your exam, i had to reverse park behing an old Porsche! before the exam i had an average rate of 50% for correct reverse parking. lucky that day was from the successful 50%...

I had to reverse park into a driveway instead of a kerb, it had its benefits like the instructor not being able to tell if I mounted it or not..... in the end I totally choked and just quickly did the most retarded reverse park ever and still went ok because I showed 'confident' in quickly doing it I think, he didnt even open the door to check as well!

yeah the examinor for me didnt open the door too.

i never asked her what my mark was, but since her only comment was that i was too nervous and need to be more confident (who wouldnt be nervous? had i failed my friends wouldnt have let me hear the end of it) i think i got 98+%

think I earned brownie points when i did my P's :D

my dog bit me so i had a big bandage on my left hand and thumb thus couldn’t press the hand break down with my thumb, the examiner asked:

E: what happened to your finger?
me: my dog got ran over by a bus last night and while she was in pain, she bit me
E: ohh .. * give me sympathy looks*

....6 months away from a full licence.
skimming your tire or a slight touch of the kerb (as opposed to mounting the kerb) wont get you a fail. i know coz a friend was in the same scenerio.

the rules may have changed since then, but it definately wasnt the case back when i did it...
