the main types would be feature article, speech, letter, interview/transcript
u should be prepared for everything

lol considering the aos is common between stand and adv, id say generally essay, but next likely is speech and feature. Unlikely to be interview and all that other crap... its too difficult to do with 5 texts in 40 mins. BUT, having said that, yea, prepare for anything. or givin the time constraints now, at 1030, i shoulda prepared for anything :p

Its good to have a good read of the genre...style, etc needed for text types other than an essay. I have a feeling that this year's question will be quite broad and perhaps focus on speech/interview. Or a really closed question through an extended response.

However it is advised that in the extended response part, if it does not state "Answer in extended response/essay form" you should keep in mind that you can always use another form...its this that gains you marks. [Correct me if I'm wrong!] xD
