Why don't quotes stack up?

When you quote someone who has quoted someone else, everything goes out of context.

When you quote someone who has quoted someone else, it doesnt show up at all...is that you mean?

Some forums have a "stack up" quoting system but THAT also becomes confusing...

I think its because your quoting what that person said, not the entire message about them quoting someone else as well as putting their own comment.

i don't like the stack up, it's more confusing and takes more space, but i know what you mean, it just doesn't do it

nah it could become pretty confusing.

if you want to a "stacked up quote", you can work around it...say if i want to quote the post above me, then just qutoe both posts.
