does anyone know when we recieve our ranks for each subject on the net?

Yeah I did economics last year and we got our ranks earlier than the exam, I think they go up online at the end of next week or sometime around then, but I'm not 100% sure.

it says on the board of studies student website that they will be put up after the last hsc exam in november (can't remember the date). and that's the same as what our school told us - that you won't find out till the end of exams and then you have 2 days to appeal if there's a problem with them.

i need to appeal for my maths ranks... i beat someone by 2 % yet i got same rank as them... and i tied with some1 else and they got high rank ... gayness

The first one would happen due to scaling, though the second seems gay.

no the second one makes sense...
they can't give the same rank to two people, so when it comes down to that the teachers sit down and choose which they think to be the more capable student and has the potential to do better.
stupid system i say, all this ranking crap.

our school they won't rank anyone the same even if they have the same marks...
ok, so now i have no idea how that happened...

They don't even send in ranks, they send in marks. I was wrong earlier about the date that we get our ranks, because I checked with the site and its November 12th. It is possible for heaps of people to end up on the same rank if they all end up with the same assessment mark at the end of the year. Plus ryan.cck if what you say is true I would definitely be appealing the rank.
