wassup man
to improve for p1s1, u have to be doing past papers before exams but also consistently after trials so u dont lose touch with it
obv u cant do it everyday and what i was recommended is just do 10-20 minutes of reading every night before bed. it can be a good book but if u want to speficially target the other hsc style extracts as well, so like reading non fiction, poems and all that stuff there are a few websites that exist which u should use. random articles or stuff. or also things like catapult mag, guardian aus, SBS voice, lithub etc

also just the small exam things like knowing how to approach different questions, how to actively read extracts during reading time and writing the correct amount by adapting a good structure..

I'll talk to u more about it in school tmrw since we go to the same school

link to what it elicits in the audience as much as u can, sometimes the wording is all it takes. eg: ___ (technique) portrays a sense of tension from the author. to better link it to audience, say sum like: the composer's manipulation of __ within ___ forces audiences to mirror the tension ...
so then u effectively establish the human experience.

also don't underestimate the power of simplicity, u don't need convoluted techniques, simile is just fine. as long as ur able to link to authorial intent and the specific human experience, ur okay
