Ok, so I basically fucked up in year 11 and didn't learn anything in french beginners. I am now starting yr 12 and don't even know the stuff from first term. What shoud I do? Is there a site I can go to to learn it? Or a book? I'm willing to go as hard as I can as I need to get a high ATAR.

Any help is appreciated.

Okay, well there are a lot of online resources available. i would suggest whenever you learn any new grammar/ vocab for certain subjects to just google some online exercises you can do. Try to expand your french knowledge constantly, listen to the radio or podcasts, youtube videos, french movies. Just talk to yourself in French sometimes (even if just really basic stuff). I don't know how good your teacher is/ the work you are given in class but make sure to keep up with the work you do in class. Go to your library and see if they have some learning French/grammar books if you're looking to learn independently. Look at the topic areas in the syllabus to familiarize yourself with the types of areas they will cover in the test. For French beginners, it's mostly basic stuff, but you do need to have a good ground level of knowledge. Make sure that as the year progresses you do past papers etc. (I'm sure you already know this but it's really important to know what to expect)

Also I am going to quote Kittikhun from a different thread, regarding listening. Might be a bit advanced, but worth a try
In my opinion and my own experience, the best way for you to improve your listening skills is to go to the following website that my French teacher provided me-

http://www.tv5.org/TV5Site/enseigner-apprendre-francais/accueil_apprendre.php

and to watch the short 2 to 3 minute videos on there while at the same time also following the 400 to 500 word French text in the respected transcript provided for the video. It would be best to read the transcript first a couple of times and to understand the meaning of all the words and the gist of the text before watching the video and following the text. Repeat this process until all or most of the French sinks in, if you have the time. If time isn't on your side, I reckon you should repeat this process for at least five times for one video for you to get some benefit out of it, which equates to 20-30 minutes of your time. There should be something on there that you like as there are sets of videos dedicated to a wide range of topics such as French culture, language, literature, and world events and affairs. There is also stuff on science and world history, if I recall correctly. If you are confused about how to use it, I typed more thoroughly about it in a thread here in the French board titled 'How to pick up French quickly'.
