you should not have more then one of each solution installed they clash and do not work very well.networkmaster said:What -tal- said is good

alternatively get a hardware firewall, if your really paranoid
One thing I forgot to mention freeloader, not via illegal means.joker252 said:all may be downloaded free of charge illegally.

For a moment I thought Comodo Firewall PRO was a free trial but that applies to the PLUS.-tal- said:I use:
Firewall: Comodo Firewall Pro
Antivirus: AVG, Vundo Fix (cleans out a lot of rubbish)
Anti-spyware: Spyware Blaster, Spybot
Eh I'm a paranoid freak. Also would recommed this CCleaner thing. Handy as, Ad-Aware too.
I'm fine with only using only one anti-virus software but I am not a tech-savvy geek or nerd so I will not install Linux as an operating system.want2bdifferent said:you should not have more then one of each solution installed they clash and do not work very well.
If you are tech-savvy or paraniod use linux
Been using the mix that tal has said there for years and never had a problem. And if you're referrign to the spyware programs, i'll tell you the difference between them:want2bdifferent said:you should not have more then one of each solution installed they clash and do not work very well.

as long as they do not use the same purpose they are fine. like don't use say norton ( which i would never touch again anyway) and AVG.shinji said:Been using the mix that tal has said there for years and never had a problem. And if you're referrign to the spyware programs, i'll tell you the difference between them:
Spyblaster - blocks insecurities in ur windows/IE and PREVENT spyware infections
Spybot S&D - repairs/gets rid of spyware.
so basically spyblaster is a firewall for spyware.
And comodo rocks. it has an A/V scanner as well.
you don't need to be a nerd or a geek to use linux.BuCUE said:One thing I forgot to mention freeloader, not via illegal means.

I know people using Linux who treat their computers as "appliances". No need to have in depth computer knowledge.
