Hello everyone !! I have been trying to find a related text for the Immigrant Chronicle preferably relating to the poems '10 Mary Street' and 'Feliks Skrzynecki'. I'm searching for something a little different and not the usual ones that everyone is likely to use. It would be great if it was something short and sweet, a visual or even a song maybe ? Also, is it bad/hard to do a novel/film as a related text, if not, then even one of them will do. It would be great if the text had many aspects of belonging to it which can be adaptable to any question. Thankyou for your help !!

Try searching for "comics", "cartoons", "caricatures" related to immigration or belonging, they are a great text type and lend themselves to a lot of deep analysis. Most allow you to analyse literary techniques, visual aids as well as many hidden attributes. You will be able to dwell deeper than the surface referring to things such as the "...sarcastic undertones [which] evoke pathos leading to enlightenment and a transcendental understanding of the overarching themes and ambitions of..." Markers give extra credence to a less literal interpretation, which the aforementioned text types lend themselves to.

Good luck :)
