Relating in the wild to hedonism, industrialisation, etc (1 Viewer)

I finally get this in the wild thing, however am now realising that in the wild and the ideas of Huxley and Scott dont match very well, such as Huxleys fear of hedonism, how do you relate that to the abolishion of the wild.... or is that an element we have to ignore?

As for linking hedonism to the abolishing of the wild, what Ive done is inter-related it with Bladerunners absence of nature (its antithetical silicon environment) and mentioned that the fact natural pleasures offer no financial gain, running the risk of inducing an emotional response/appreciation of nature.
Im also trying to work in a sort of abstract approach that the 'wild' can be interpreted on a different level to that of nature, and as such its not exactly being abolished, but 'revised', as the wild is really just an intangible psycological status we place ourselves in.

do you mean the wild as nature? because looking at it that way
you probably can't relate them

exacerbate the godless society that has been created putting the
people of the World State into a "moral wilderness"
