I have to agree with that but can't you just read the blurb? Reading the Cliff notes is a bit far.

=( Well, what really put me off about The Great Gatsby was the "Introduction" part in the beginning (Which I'm not sure is in all versions of the book). I think I read that the first night we got the book and I think I only understood about 10% of what it said, it just really put me off. The blurb was much too vague as well. I don't know, it probably spoiled the book for me but at least the cliffs notes made me more enthusiastic because of all the superlatives =) Like, "GREATEST" literary work and, "MOST POETIC". etc.

OH you never ever read that first. Your teacher should have told you that.

Wuthering heights is great to do for relationships because it is both a classic as well as a gothic romance
