'Explain two effects on diversity in religious adherence in Australia since the removal of the White Australia Policy n 1973.'

thanku 4 ur help! one more thing... do you kno of the effects of the social environment on the development of christianity in Aus?? Is social environment the same as physical environment?? Would it be things like geographical differences??? thanku again

doesn't the syllabus use the term 'cultural' environment rather than 'social'? Anyways examples of it would be Pentecostalism styles of worship/music (American influence) which affected development of Christianity, and also for instance European migrants bringing new forms of Catholicism, eg European Orthodox.

no its not social
it is cultural as Mead's said :)

I'm having bets that they r gonna ask a question on that in our HSC
they haven't asked it b4 and its something ppl will go "WTF" to.

oh my goodness..i just read over this thread and realised how f*!d i really am..any help doinf religion notes would be very very much appreciated! if you teach me..it wil help you learn..our teacher was dead set a complete dorrbell! even the smartest students in our class would back me up..PLEEEEEASE!! even where i could get some quality notes to read over and compare to my own!?

Try the resources section-studies of religion
heaps of notes there
just choose which ones u want :)

as joe said, try the notes sectionas there are two good sets in there that deal with this.

essesntially for the physical and cultural environment, it revolves around the tyranny of distance theory ie Aust. is bloody huge .: it was difficult to do things (both religious and cultural) .: groups like teh Bush Brotherhood came about (why it is the next syllabus point if you look)

Also, how has Christianity influenced our cultural development comes into this as well


BTW what has any of this got to do with White Aust. Policy?

makes it too hard for searching guys..keep it on target!
*grumbles about having to now split this thread which is a pain*
