My and my mate have a place together which we have a spare room. We have two good friends of ours who have been dating for several years who are going to be moving in with us.

My question is, considering they're a couple and they'll be sharing a room, should they be paying the same amount of rent as me and my other roomate? If not, how much should they pay each?

Just split the overall weekly rent between four people, that way everyone's paying the same amount.
