Anne Bancroft of The Graduate fame died on in New York of cancer.

While I can't say I've seen many of her movies, I can say that I'll remember her fondly for her Mrs Robinson, surely one of the most iconic (although this was thanks in no small part to Simon and Garfunkel) characters of cinema history. The original
milf if you will.
