You just hope the broadband users don't camp at 11:55 and then keep clicking Refresh until the system crashes.

I'm sure Macquarie University will find other ways to frustrate their students.

I gave it the thumbs up.

It's funny how noone has posted in the official results thread, but they've been 200 views.

actually
theres a site where you can get it via a "backdoor method"

last time i posted the link somewhere...but the admin quickly closed the site down. I think that site was merely a test to see if the database was up or not :p

i'll see what i'll score this time around

that may probably be the case. but still 200 reads is something. we'll just have to wait until the 17th before it opens eh? :D

Why can't people just wait a day later for results, whats the rush. Last year I didnt check my results til a week later after they were released. I don't want to look at mine this semester.

Consider person A and B.

Person A: D,D,D,...,D - GPA 4
Person B: HD,HD,HD,...,HD,Cr - GPA 3.97

Of course, an employer who looks at the transcript will understand that Person B is academically brighter.

Also, it's hard enough getting Ds at Macquarie which is why HDs don't effect GPA here. But one Cr is doubly painful.
employers will see B as better. They wont care about 'gpa' they like seeing HD's down the page, with a Credit hidden somewhere :) At least, thats what im hoping, when i get a credit on the 19th (im near certain its law).

Some units have GPA requirements of 3.5, or a credit for the exemption or so and so. Pretty much means you can't continue if you can't hit these requirements...unlike the rest of us where usually a pass is enough to get you into the following unit.

hmm a lot of actuarial masturbation in this thread....

I've heard that in a lot of LAW units, they only give the top 2% hd's. every year. That's hardcore.

anyway for the record:

Dream:
STAT272: CR
ECON350: HD
ACST200: HD

Reality:
STAT272: P
ECON350: D
ACST200: D

Nah. They have a broad % for each unit that they have to give HD's. E.g. one unit might be 2% to 8% HD's. I've seen the figures and I don't remember any unit having a maximum of 2% for HDs

3.25 in 300-level psy units. 2.5 over all.
