Having just realised that the related text I had chosen was useless in relating to the core texts being studied in class (Johnno and Marking Time), I was wondering if anyone could suggest some texts that are easily related to the aforementioned pieces (preferrably a short novel, poem or picture).

omg yes use the road not take - Robert Frost there are notes every where about it on this site and elsewhere, talk about the search for identity and commitments as they link to both texts, also the use of monologue and first person make the experiences more personal and easier to relate too is that aite? if not spring hail - les murray
