What I don't understand is why all these teeny boppers never give rock and metal a chance. I mean we have to listne to their crappy shit but they won't take the time out to listen to what we like. Most of them are so ignorant. We hear them say "Most of those guys do drugs" well let me tell you, they probably buy the drugs from your fave rapper friends.
Actually, they don't. Back in the 60s to early 80s, gangsta rap did not exist. :) Heheh.

And just what is so wrong about singing how crap your life is? if you actually take notice kyoto, what the nymber one theme for pop songs - breakup, would you take me back, my loife is so bad without you themes and for rap it's all about the drug money or the shooting or about how you took someone's girl. so basically most music sings about the crappiness of life.
Not really. Maybe for contemporary music. Take Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here album for example, that album was a 'tribute' album for their previous frontman Syd Barret. That album doesn't describe about how crap life is, quite the opposite. That's just one example, but I assure you, most concept albums in the 60s to 80s period were quite interesting.

If only we could go back to the early 80s...
By the way, Wish You Were Here = brilliant.

Any period between the early 60s to 80s. :)

And yes, I agree with you about the brilliance of WYWH. I'd rep you if I could.
