No sure of the exact answer to this dotpoint... no-one really covers it well.
also is a simple model for protien synthesis the same as one for polypeptide synthesis???

Polypeptide chains (usually several) fold together three dimensionally to form a protein. Hence, polypeptide synthesis is a step in protein synthesis (protein synthesis takes several of these polypeptide chains to form the protein).

i just thought it was that groups of polypeptides form a protein... but i guess halo explained it in more detail...

also - if u have heinemann biology - there is a good model on page 308 (down the bottom) of polypeptide synthesis
