LOL, just LOL

Pick up a science magazine buddy, and have a read. You may not understand all of it, but it's proof that we're still innovating. Look at a phone that was standard 10 years ago, and look at the standard phone now. Look at a computer that was standard 10 years ago, and look at the standard computer now. Why are they so much better now? Innovation, or advancement in science and technology if you'd rather hear that. Just because you can't see Imperial space ships and Death Stars, it doesn't mean we're not innovating.
New ways of doing old things is not "innovation..."

You have listed things which are not new at all... There has been nothing that is revolutionary in technology for a long time... A car is still a car, a computer is still a computer, etc... There had been nothing at all that's actually truly revolutionised our way of living arguably since the internet

New ways of doing old things is not "innovation..."
Innovate: make changes in something established, especially by introducing new methods, ideas, or products.
Innovation: a new method, idea, product, etc.
Method: a particular procedure for accomplishing or approaching something, especially a systematic or established one.

I'm not sure how much clearer I can get. Yes, new ways of doing old things is innovation.
