No street is safe in surry hills. The safest place is known as "the block" located in central redfern.

I dont live in the area so im no expert but its surray hills not compton-watts you probably wont get stabbed going home.
Since surray hills has recently become a more 'trendy' suburb its become a far less 'dangerous' if it ever was.
