What happens if you tie 2nd for school rank. How do you get your external and internal marks

Pretty sure you're ranked second when rounded to whole numbers, but there will be a decimal, e.g. 95.121 vs 95.120 and the decimal will decide who gets the second highest I think.

You will probably get the same internal mark for your assssment mark, but the external mark at the HSC exam is independent of any ranks. So you can be 10th and get the highest exam mark for your school, and whatever you get there in the HSC exam will be your external mark and will not be like moved up or down depending on ranks in your school.
