USYD.

Prestige sure.

Reputation? USYD does not have the best reputation for all of the courses that it offers.

History: 75, band 4

Hi

My results;

ENGLISH - 92 band 6
MATHS - 88 band 5
SCIENCE - 87 band 5
GEOGRAPHY - 85 band 5
HISTORY - 83 band 5
COMPUTING SKILLS - highly competent

Well I took the advice of the seniors and decided not to waste hours studying for the SC-- and I'm glad I did.
My marks are no where near perfect, but I am still pretty happy considering missed 3 months of school and I didn't spend my weekends or nights staying up late looking at past tests and studying.
Ha and the strange thing is that english is my worst subject ( only the creative writing part of it )-- if i was to get a band 6 for anything i thought it would be maths- ( but I missed the last non calculator question and the last 6 on the calculator section so 88 is good enough for me)

-PS, congratulations to everyone on your great results

yeh, thats still so good, I studied so much content for geography and barely used any of it in the exam (will probably only get band 5 too), so off it

but yeh, people who say they don't try and easily pull off good grades are people to admire (because of their raw, excellent general knowlegde)

another great example of an all-rounder! awesome, congrats :)

not to take anything away from your good history mark (89) but is it just me or are the history results lower than normal/compared to the other subjects, I've seen alot of results that are all band 6's except for history which is high band 5

hmmmm...

There are quite a few people here who don't go to selective schools - me being one of them. :D

That said, I will be transferring to one next year.

Nope, don't go to a selective school either. I was a reserve, but never ended up going.

Same with me, but sometimes i wish i had re-applied at the end of yr 7. I like my school anyway, there is no pressure to go well in tests and you can just bludge till senior years, which sadly enough are almost here:mad1:
