I was just wondering if SAM scales marks ie. if someone got 90 in modern before scaling does it work it out accordingly? or would it be more accurate to put a mark slightly higher than 90 in accordance with modern's high scaling?

Does that make sense? errr

what sort of marks are u talkin about? report/exam marks are meaningless, and what you put in as ur hsc mark will come out scaled like it tells u in sam.

sam uses your overall hsc mark which is the average of your aligned external mark and your moderated internal assessment. it does all the scaling and the like for you, as long as you put the right marks in. raw school marks won't help. if you want a better estimate give yourself a few extra marks to the raw marks in each subject.
