Five youths armed with baseball bats and a machete may have been seeking revenge when they attacked a Sydney high school and its students, police say.
A male teacher was struck over the head as he tried to stop the teenagers during their rampage through Merrylands High School at Merrylands West at 8.50am today, police said.
The teacher was taken to hospital and 18 students were treated for injuries suffered during the teenagers' rampage, which also left windows smashed.

i think its terrible, how dare people do such a thing.

They didn't resist arrest. Just dropped their weapons and went into custody.

They are being questioned.
