The most i pay up to is around $300 that's when i still do ceramics & woodwork electives
I think now i only have to pay around $200 at most. I'm at a public (half-selective) school

Well lucky me going to a public school I don't have to pay school fees but I have a $30 school contribution each semmester which I pay. If I include text books etc it'd be $100 a year.

I pay about $1200 a year. It's top value - our teachers are so helpful, and we get pretty good resources - not the best, but good enough :)

hmm..riverview is cheap. is the $12,000 for Year 12? Most other North Shore schools, e.g. Abbotsleigh, Ravenswood, Pymble, charge about $15,000 for Year 12.

just usual public school fees, about $100. plus a bit for food technology and hospitality i think.

and not to start the whole public/private debate, but i used to go to a private school that was about $8000 a year (i had a scholarship though) - and it was probably worse teaching-wise than port high. hell, we didn't even have a hall.

Maybe you were just unlucky. $8,000 a year is very cheap for a private school (maybe a little too cheap unless it's a Catholic school). If you don't get paid good money, you can't expect to spend what you've got on better things, e.g. teachers, halls, etc.
