today i got my laptop back after giving it in for change of ownership...i turned it on and worked alright and then shut it down..when i started it again at home it asked for password..i typed my old password in (school11) and it says incorrect password or username and i cant go further...PLEASE HELP!!! thanks!

how handy are you with screwdrivers OP I might be able to talk you through the bios hard reset
i guessed the password to be "password" and it turned out to be correct lol!!!!

Yep. Whenever you're unsure just type 'password'. It's usually correct for most new sets

Didn't sound like a BIOS password anyway, the windows login screen more like.
