Amoz: are you ever happy with your marks? "Stuffing up' is all relative, and you can't really deride your marks unless you got significantly worse than you usually would. If it's any consolation to you History in the HSC is significantly different to the what we got examined in. So my history teacher tells me (or is he just trying to stop me from changing to a different subject ).

honestly hun, those marks are fine, the top person is the state for english got 97.5 or 98, i'm not sure, and really, it's the school cert... who cares?

and po-mo is postmodernism, one of the electives you can do in ext 1 eng for the hsc...

That would be irrelevant; the marks they set for each band would be adjusted if they planned to mark it harshly. At the end just about as many people got band 6 in History as in the other subjects. (i.e. the marks you got on your testamur aren't raw, but aligned to standards). I was quite dissapointed when I got 84 for it 'tho- especially considering my school assessment marks. :/
