Does going to a high ranked school compared to a low ranked school actually impact ATAR that much? and if so how? I'm just quite confused

low ranking school -> probably weaker cohort -> you rank better internally -> that higher rank translates to a certain moderated school assessment mark
high ranking school -> probably stronger cohort -> you rank a bit worse internally -> that lower rank translates to approximately the same moderated school assessment mark as above due to stronger cohort
however, the school you go to may have an impact on the teaching quality or your motivation etc
