if you screwed up as in fail in an assessment thats worth 30 percent, but your results for all the other assessments have been from average to high, how badly would this screw you up? N would it diminish n e hope of gettin a uai of 92 because of this one fail?

nope, you'll be right, its only in one subject - that means you've lost at least 15 marks from your assessment, which is only 7.5 marks from your overall thing. assuming your school is good with assessments, you can still get in the 80/90s for that subject. :)

good luck

How about if you were aiming for a 99+ UAI? Would that screw up your chances? :(

If you were ranked first even after that stuff-up, it wouldn't affect your chances of getting a 99+ UAI, mainly because your UAI are based on the marks you and your class gets in the external HSC exams.
