Germany part B was a godsend i thought only thing im confident about in the whole exam and not too many people chose it
I argued that Hindenburg had no option but to elect Hitler into power as the nazi party had become so big by then that any government needed the backing of the Nazi party however this wasn't due to a lack of opposition but other factors, as you mention.Other factors influenced it (Great Depression and dislike of Weimar).
i did part b) for Germany as well, and yeah wondering the same thing, how having less ppl do this question would affect us.i did part b for germany, and was the easiest part. does the fact that most people would have steered away from that question (i was only person in my class i think) mean anything in terms of marking when they do the question difficulty scaling and such?
No, but different topics (ie Germany vs Russia) do affect the scaling/aligning iirc depending on which has easier/more difficult questions.i did part b for germany, and was the easiest part. does the fact that most people would have steered away from that question (i was only person in my class i think) mean anything in terms of marking when they do the question difficulty scaling and such?
WTF why would you even put the enabling act? That's after hitler came to power lol, it's not a reason as to why he came to power manI just realised what bs i wrote.
I basically wrote an essay on the failures of weimar and how hitler was able to manipulate the public to side with the nazi party, thus reducing the amount of opposition he had. I talked about weaknesses in weimar government + impact of depression + rise in nazi election votes and related it to how hitler was able to work with these to strengthen his party.
Bad thing was that by the end, i was rushing and forgot to write about the enabling law.
