Women
- sexism & discrimination in workforce
- Find it hard to gain promotion of males in service based industries (accounting etc)
- Family commitments (sexist but true)
- underemployment (more causal and part time working

ahah i felt so dodgy discussing that, but the question was like 3-4 marks so i think the extra information was needed

textbook answer:

Males have earn an average weekly income of 1100, whilst females earn 720
This can be attributed to the attitudes toward women in society as well as a lack of training options for women until very recently
Furthermore, as many women opt to exit the workforce to become homemakers, this has distorted the average figures.
Additionally, the rate of casual and part time labour amongst women is higher than it is amongst men

and for high min wage question

i draw a graph , saying decrease labour demanded and increase labour supplied, thus short fall represents unemployment..

was anyone else tricked in the labour force and leaving school age rise thingy cos I was :p

I answered that in the long term it increases labour force mobility and stuff but realistically the question asked for a short term how that would reduce labour force and keep the unemployment number effectively increasing it proportionally

I was like -.-
