I agree about not having to work to get mediocre marks. But sometimes I think "wow I'll do ok with this essay" and get a pass, and other times I freak out thinking I did badly and get an HD. So it's a bit of a gamble, imo. Its as if sometimes the markers draw a random number out of a hat and give you that as your mark without reading your work...garrrh

You do have to put in work for arts subjects imo. its just a different kind. I feel like the stupidest person in the history of everything in my english tute sometimes because the rest of them are all heavily into Romantic poetry and one guy in particular seems to have read every single book ever produced by anyone...and then there's me, who chose the subject because I have to do an english unit and this one timetabled better than its twin which I was more interested in to begin with.

lol I did this last semester and we had to tell our tutor (who was also the lecturer/co-ordinator) why we chose it
