Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

Yeah I wouldn't call '3 weeks, then midsem break, then 10 weeks' a normal semester.

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

Haha for UNSW we recently got the 12-week semester put in place. Couple that with an influx of students which don't match the number of buses to UNSW...holy god, it's becoming the worst uni ever!

What is a 12 week semester? No break? What was it before?

238 words/1500. Although the bibliography is included in the word count so 230/1300. Lol in 15 mins I wrote like 20% of my assignment
I know what a crazy lady! Who the hell includes a bibliography in the word count?

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

yeah not too bad. although it's confusing how she wants us to discuss the positives and negatives of the agenda setting approach to media in contemporary society? are there any other approaches? it seems like the sub-approaches within it deal with the whole story

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

200/2000 due on monday. I think I need to go to fisher on a Sunday to check out the books Paul Ginns has put on close reserve for the education students. Grr. :mad1:

He worded it such that on the outline, it sounded like the sources were online and you could access them through the library website. But noooo.

And some people are having as massive party down the street. I'm going to calls the cops once it hits 12 if they don't quieten down.

I'm such a bitter cranky girl.

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

Is it? I'm going to google it.
I'm not really going to report them.
Maybe.

That said, is fisher usually really quiet on Sundays?
And how do I ask the reserve people about books? :S

What do you mean? Don't you just go to Reserve and ask them there?

That's what I'm asking. Do I just go ask the person there?

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

Go into reserve.
Look up your course on the library website. A list of books will appear, all of which will be in reserve.
Find these books.

Re: Semester 1 Chatter Thread

Haha I guess I have been using Fisher for the last 3 or 4 years.

They expect questions, so just ask if you get lost.
