MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS SUBJECT. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ATTEMPT TO DO EDST1103.

Trust me. The lecturer for 1103 is absolutely abysmal, exacerbated by even worse subject matter.

Haha I was going to do it so I didn't have to buy a new text book, but they've cut the subject. I wonder why

MATH2620 - Higher Complex Analysis
MATH3411 - Information, Codes and Ciphers
COMP3111 - Computer Networks and Applications
GENC7002 - Getting Into Business
GENS8004 - Ergonomics, Productivity and Safety

I'm taking easy subjects this semester, need a break from the difficult ones.

I've some made horrible choices for my subjects for this semester, hopefully things will go better next semester:

OO Programming - COMP3171
Advanced Operating Systems - COMP9242
Computer Graphics - COMP3421

Looking at subnormal load there ....

Haha, that's hilarious. I'm serious about that subject though, it was terrible, and was a big reason why I got the hell out of that uni too. The lecturer stood at the front of that massive science theatre droning on for two long hours each week in a monotone about jack shit. One subject was about phonics, and yet she hadn't yet mastered the art of phonics. The tutors were equally as bad, fostering absolutely no care or passion in their students. The essay was related to the most boring subject, backed up by barely any interesting literature, marked on a poor criteria. The classes were based upon overly PC subjects with no room for discussion (females are disadvantaged in all maths classes. go to hell if you disagree). Bah. McCafe McCoffee was the only thing that kept me there most days. shit shit shit.

Neb its deja vu for me with BIOS1101/1201 in my first year of UNSW. But with 2nd year, it's gotten much much better.

Where's all the hardcore science people?? Maybe I'm the MIA guy here.

MATH1251 Mathematics for Actuarial Studies and Finance 1B
ACTL1001 Actuarial Studies and Commerce
ECON1102 Macroeconomics 1
PHYS1131 Higher Physics 1A

is what I would like to do next semester, but one of the physics lectures clashes with actuarial studies...Is it alright for someone who did not do hsc physics, but has a high aptitude for maths to skip one one hour lecture a week and still survive lol...i really dont want to do computing as my science elective, and physics is the only hard science course offered in semester 2 that doesnt have any prerequisites...Also, does the school of maths let freshmen take maths courses beginning with a 2?

Are you doing Comm/Sci?
If so, do you think I could get away with doing only three subjects i.e. Macro1, Acct1B and Psychology 1B cause im going to major in finance and psychology,.

Anyone recommend or know a science subject that has low contact hours i.e. 3?

CHEM1201 - Fundamentals of Chemistry 1B
PSYC1011 - Psychology 1B
MATH1231 - Mathematics 1B

COMP subjects are pretty fun and are very useful for most degrees. Have you done Discrete Maths? If so, it will be of a lot more use in COMP then PHYS.

You can accelerate and do 2nd yr subjects, but they usually let you do it if you have high enough marks (~95).

MATH2601 Higher Linear Algebra
MATH2620 Higher Complex Analysis
MATH2130 Higher Math Methods for DEs
LING1500 The Use of Language
PHIL2020 Language and Meaning

That gets me to 24uoc, though I was hoping to do MATH3411 (Information, Codes and Ciphers) this year so I may overload with that as well.
