What do you think is the relationship between separation from society and the sense of belonging..

Well if you are separated from society then that minimises your sense of belonging as who do you have to belong with? However if you are separated from society you may belong to your own world e.g. If you live on a farm, then you may belong to that farm even if you are separated from society. PM if you need more help!

There are heaps of perspectives you can take with this. For example, separation from mainstream society can intensify local/communal or personal sense of identity because we become more internalised and withdrawn, strengthening our sense of personal/communal belonging. Or another example is that we become more alienated from the outside world, diminishing out sense of belonging to society.

A good way to tackle these questions is to draw a brainstorm up and look for cause and effect scenarios. I.e. Ask yourself: You're isolated from society, so what? And go from there

There are too many possible ideas you can relate to, two of the many possibilities include permanent separation from social contact can result in disturbed psychological development and lead to the development of mental illness preceding prolonged periods of confinement, yet alternately, if an individual is separated from a society he/she wishes to be unattached from in the first place, separation can enable them to find a genuine sense of individuality, you should brainstorm the key words of these two things and expand on possible thesis sentences and see which thesis is the most apparent in your prescribed and related text:)
