now i have your attention...

I want to study the bachelor of journalism course at UTS next year HOWEVER if my UAI falls below 95( or whatever the UAI may be next year), does the school take into account experience within the industry, published works, aptitude for the course, school results etc etc, for those who have applied, yet fallen short??

also...i come from a rural area AND a public school, am i eligible for bonus points, or a character reference( i sound like a crim!) etc etc to convince them of my passion!! haha

any info would be GREATLY appreciated!!

There are several 'methods' in which students are accepted. Some courses use interviewing, special tests (e.g. UMAT & GAMSAT) and UAI. UAI is the most 'accepted' way or popular way. If your UAI is not as high as the UAI cut-off, it will be hard to get into the particular course even if you excelled in other aspects of your schooling. However, difference like 0.05 will not be very significant.

By the way, the title was very 'catchy'.
